How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”Use this block to define one typed value that later blocks reference as its value output, such as a constant, a record built from several references, or a fixed list. It does not calculate anything. To reshape or compute a value, use @lainstack/js/transform (guide javascript.transform).
- The value is checked against
schemaon every run. A mismatch fails the step. - A uniform List schema accepts only one whole reference to an existing list. You cannot type its items one by one. To write a list by hand, use a tuple List schema with exactly one item for each declared position.
- A template works only when the schema is Text.
- A Record input must supply every required field and no undeclared field.
- Table rows need a paired TableSchema, and each row must have every declared column.
- To point a field at an earlier block’s output, read guide
